The Longfellow library invites you to the upcoming book fair starting on Monday, Oct. 21. The book fair will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. On Friday, the book fair will close after D lunch at 12:45.
A book fair is an event hosted by a school library to sell books to students. Book costs will range from discounted books priced at $2-5, paperback books at $7-10 and hardcover books at $18-25 or above. Students can purchase books with cash, check or card. Parents will be emailed a link to purchase books online one week before the book fair.
This year’s book fair will have a wide variety of genres and novels to satisfy all students. These books have been specially selected by Scholastic to provide numerous options for different ages, reading levels, and reading preferences.
Our librarians have shared their hope and excitement for the upcoming fair. “I hope that we are going to receive lots of books that students will be excited about and want to read,” said Head Librarian Ms. Saladino.
Besides the books selected for this year’s book fair, the librarians are also hopeful for parent volunteers.
“It’s very helpful to have parent volunteers, as it just makes the book fair run smoother.” Ms. Saladino explained.
The librarians have done their best to create a fun book fair experience for students with their best interests in mind. We hope to see you there!
